Workers Compensation
The Law Offices of Raquel Romero has brought nearly 1000 cases before the Court of Worker’s Compensation. In addition to our client base, our firm receives referrals from other attorneys in this area of law. Our firm has successfully prosecuted claims before the Appellate Division and the Supreme Court of New Jersey, including the expansion of rights to workers.
In Lozano v. DeLuca, we successfully persuaded the New Jersey Supreme Court, in a 7-0 decision, to unanimously declare that workers had a right to compensation if an employer compelled a non-work activity that resulted in injury.
Personal Injury
Our firm represents clients who suffer serious injuries involved in automobile and premises liability cases. Our firm also coordinates with attorneys specializing in complex personal injury cases.
For aviation-related injuries, our firm has handled claims under the Montreal Convention and its predecessor the Warsaw Convention. Claims covered under these Treaties involved accidents occurring on international flights.
The firm is always willing to evaluate a potential claim with serious injuries that may not be routine. In the past, we have successfully represented litigants in cases that required a high level of investigation and litigation. including:

Matrimonial Cases/Divorces
Our firm has extensive experience in resolving and litigating issues in family law, including divorce settlements. We encourage resolution between the parties to reduce the expense that often occurs in these matters, but we are willing to prosecute vigorously if a settlement is not a possibility.
Commercial Real Estate
Our firm has special expertise in commercial real estate litigation, including commercial landlord-tenant disputes. Our firm has tried over 20 cases throughout NJ courts involving issues of commercial leases. We have successfully handled several appeals involving issues of significant legal impact.

Estates and Wills
Attorney Romero has served in multiple capacities in Estate matters. These roles include the power of attorney, guardian/guardian ad litem, administrator, and conservator. She had been retained by clients and appointed by courts to serve in these fiduciary positions.
Our firm has specialized knowledge and expertise in estates where the beneficiaries are not U.S. residents.
